Welcome to Sustainable Marblehead’s second annual Green Homes Tour!
Heating and cooling our homes and buildings account for more than one-third of Marblehead’s greenhouse gas emissions. To help the town reach its goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2040, Sustainable Marblehead is therefore putting particular emphasis on educating residents about insulating and installing energy efficient equipment and appliances.

Home renovations represent considerable investments of time and money. The goal of the tour is to facilitate the process by allowing you to see energy efficient technologies in action and talk to the homeowners who installed them to learn from their experiences.

This virtual tour book will remain as a reference on our website following the tour. For additional information and resources, please feel free to explore the Take Action in Your Home and Green Homes and Buildings working group pages.

I hope the tour helps you get started on the path towards an energy efficient home. Enjoy!
